New Lantern is hiring software engineers to help build an AI copilot [1] for radiologists.
Radiologists are experts at diagnosing disease in medical images, but they spend over half their working hours on tasks that have nothing to do with diagnosis: reading prior reports, transcribing handwritten notes, taking manual measurements, dictating reports, and chasing down follow-ups. New Lantern is building an AI copilot for radiologists to automate this non-diagnostic work, so radiologists can focus on what they do best: caring for patients and interpreting images.
We are starting to find product-market fit and recently raised a $19M Series A from Benchmark [2]. Demand for our product is growing, and we're hiring software engineers in San Francisco to help us scale our product and our team. We work together in person five days a week from our office in Jackson Square.
Engineering is at the heart of New Lantern. Our engineers work directly with our founder/CEO, our staff radiologist, and our end users to build features that radiologists rely on daily. Everyone has real ownership and autonomy, moves quickly, and ships meaningful work frequently. We're a small, sharp team of frontend, full-stack, and backend engineers building a React-based web app backed by Python services, cloud infrastructure, and LLMs.
I'm Steve, New Lantern's Head of Engineering. If you're interested or want to learn more, shoot me a note at (my HN username)@newlantern.ai.
[1] We translate "AI copilot" to "AI radiology resident" when we speak with medical professionals, but the former is the clearest way to communicate what we're building here.
[2] https://newlantern.ai/blog/new-lantern-19m-series-a-led-by-b...
- Deploying clusters of 1,000+ GPUs and operating them with and for customers.
- Validating correctness and performance of underlying compute, storage, and networking infrastructure, and working with providers to optimize these subsystems.
- Migrating petabytes of data from public cloud platforms to local storage, as quickly and cost effectively as possible.
- Debugging issues anywhere in the stack, from “this server’s fan is blocked by a plastic bag” to “optimizing S3 dataloaders from buckets in different regions”.
- Building internal tooling to decrease deployment time and increase cluster reliability, including automation where the customer benefits clearly outweigh the implementation overhead.
We don't require prior experience with GPUs or AI/ML; we require a willingness to learn quickly, work hard, and obsess about customer success.
Apply here: https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/fluidstack or email careers at fluidstack dot io
Sourcetable is the world's most capable AI spreadsheet (think: "Cursor for spreadsheets"). We're a small team of experienced engineers, the company is growing quickly, and and we're looking for an experienced product educator to make videos and blogs on everything spreadsheet, data, analysis, and AI related. Personality wise, you could be a fit if you're something of a combination YouTuber, hacker, and ex-Goldman Sachs spreadsheet junkie.
Although it isn't definitionally required for the role, everyone on the team codes and ideally you do too. We have found it works better that way.
If you are considering applying, please email me a body of work.

We are an early-stage, well-funded startup making humans and computers work together more efficiently. Experienced team from Apple AIML and other great companies.
We will be opening several roles soon, but are previewing this one early: Staff Engineer / Startup Polyglot Engineer.
You'll enjoy this role if:
- You like going 0 to 1 with high ownership: moving features and products from idea on a napkin, to prototype, to engineering UI, to shipped and polished product
- You are innovative, get satisfaction out of learning new things, and thrive in an environment of uncertainty and opportunity
To succeed, you should:
- Have the wisdom to know when to take the fast route vs when to step back and clean up your mess
- Be capable and excel on your own, but be humble and communicate well with others as projects require more collaboration
- Be versed across many programming languages (e.g. from C++/Java/Swift to Go to JavaScript or Python)
- Have worked on many types of projects and software -- have you built servers, written games, shipped native apps, and vibe-coded (kidding) web apps? If so, you're a fit.
- Be versatile and work both high level and low level, on old tech and new. Have you both prompt-engineered an LLM AND tweaked the code that decodes tokens in your own local LLM runner? If so, you're a fit.
All said, we're looking for the stereotypical "startup engineer" who can move between different components, be creative, be flexible, take ownership, and get things done. We have a complex, challenging product, but one that's amazing to work on and that will soon change how people think about working with each other and with AI.
Email us at jobs@avy.ai.

Max AI is building the financial operating system for healthcare—turning the broken, error-prone billing process into a lightning-fast, autonomous experience, much like swiping a credit card. Our ambient AI agents handle medical coding, claim submission, and fund collection the moment a doctor finishes charting—no humans in the loop.
We’re addressing a $350 billion market where billing errors cause delayed treatments, higher healthcare costs, and massive medical debt. By eliminating billing mistakes, we enable faster access to care, reduce administrative burden on doctors, and protect patients from surprise bills.
We're a team of repeat founders and world-class builders:
- PhD/Postdoc AI scientists from MIT and Caltech
- Ex-VP of Engineering at Curative (led engineering for over 25M medical claims billed)
- Founders who’ve scaled products to 40M+ downloads and 150M+ monthly users
- A team of experienced engineers from Discord, Google, Facebook, Airbnb, Brex, and Figma
Traction:
- Launched in 2025
- Projecting $5M ARR in the next 2 months
- $2M in claims processed in the first 30 days (we earn 4–12% per claim)
We're 6 months in and just getting started. If you want to help build the AI infrastructure that will transform healthcare finance, reach out to: colton[@]maxcare[.]ai or apply at https://app.dover.com/apply/Maxcare/3684f186-f343-439a-9500-...
We recently announced $14.4 million in funding to make blockchains & digital assets useful for the world. Founded by Jump Crypto alumni and core contributors to the Solana protocol and the Firedancer client (https://github.com/firedancer-io/firedancer), we’re tackling fundamental scalability, performance, and usability challenges in distributed ledgers. Our runtime conforms to the RISC-V specification—moving away from domain-specific VMs, DSLs, and bespoke compiler toolchains that limit developer and institutional adoption. Components are developed in C for maximal control over performance and resource usage.
Interesting problems you’ll tackle:
- Building and testing high-performance subsystems in C (cryptographic routines, consensus primitives, networking protocols)
- Designing robust process isolation on modern CPU architectures and tile-based multi-core layouts
- Optimizing memory hierarchies, cache utilization, and low-level I/O for commodity servers
You:
- 5+ years of systems programming in C/C++, Rust, or similar
- Deep expertise in CPU microarchitecture, memory subsystems, and low-level performance tuning
- Strong understanding of distributed systems design and consensus protocols
- Experience with high-performance networking and protocol design in real-time environments

Help us scale generative‑media infra: hack demos in the AM, pitch partners over coffee.
You’ll build quick client libs & microsites, run data A/Bs, write content that drives sign‑ups, and hand‑hold new devs.
Need: Python, JS/React/Next.js, SQL; speed, ownership, love for gen‑AI. Get: strong salary + equity, platinum health, unlimited “build‑something” stipend and most importantly a seat at a rocketship.

Roboflow is the fastest way to use computer vision in production. We help developers give their software the sense of sight. Our end-to-end platform [1] provides tooling for image collection, annotation, dataset exploration and curation, training, and deployment.
Over 1 million engineers (including engineers from 2/3 Fortune 100 companies) build with Roboflow. We now host the largest collection of open source computer vision datasets and pre-trained models [2]. We are pushing forward the CV ecosystem with open source projects like RF-DETR [3] and Supervision [4]. And we've built one of the most comprehensive resources for software engineers to learn to use computer vision with our popular blog [5] and YouTube channel [6].
We have several openings available but are primarily looking for strong technical generalists who want to help us democratize computer vision and like to wear many hats and have an outsized impact. Our engineering culture is built on a foundation of autonomy & we don't consider an engineer fully ramped until they can "choose their own loss function". At Roboflow, engineers aren't just responsible for building things but also for helping us figure out what we should build next. We're builders & problem solvers; not just coders. (For this reason we also especially love hiring past and future founders.)
We're currently hiring for full-stack engineers to help build our product, field engineers that work directly with our customers to solve their business needs with computer vision, and several technical roles on the sales team.
We raised our Series B round at the end of last year, led by GV. With this round, we will continue building the open source tools, platform, and community so developers and enterprises can deploy computer vision applications to production. [7]

Elicit is an AI research assistant that uses language models to help researchers figure out what’s true and make better decisions. We scaled to >$6MM annual revenue and 450k MAU fast. We're hiring for multiple roles and are primarily interested in people with early-stage company experience, who are comfortable in high-agency, fast-paced teams.
Reasons you might want to join Elicit:
1. We have been thinking about how to apply AI for high-stakes knowledge work since even before GPT-1. Elicit was spun-out from Ought (https://ought.org/) which was an applied research lab.
2. If you're concerned about the potential downsides and risks of super-powerful AI: so are we! Happy to explain more of this story on a call, or you can also check e.g. https://ought.org/updates/2022-04-06-process for a primer.
3. We like spending time with each other, and have get-togethers every 6 weeks, but we're flexible on location.
Reasons you might not want to join Elicit:
1. We've found a level of product market fit (as evidenced by metrics) but we've not proven everything out yet. If you want predictability, Elicit is not for you.
2. We aim to hire people who thrive in low-bureaucracy environments, and let them loose. If you need structure, lots of support, close mentorship, or tightly-defined work assignments, Elicit is not for you.
