Xaira Therapeutics is developing biological foundation models (not LLMs) to hit undruggable targets and cure disease. We've put together an incredible cross-disciplinary team of pharma veterans who have brought drugs to market, drug designers/AI scientists from Nobel laureate David Baker's lab, and engineers from tech in order to meet the moment and build a company to reimagine how drugs are made in the pursuit of better medicines. We're not a SaaS company, and the ultimate goal is to see the medicines we make delivered to patients.
I lead the engineering team and am hiring across multiple teams. There's:
- Research Engineering: work on a modeling team with the goal of making a model better. You think in tensors, understand what makes a kernel fast, and obsess over training throughput.
- X-Scientist: building an agentic copilot for drug development with access to our internal suite of tools. You have backend experience, have built tools for agents to interact with, and enjoy tinkering with agent harnesses.
- Data Engineering: we generate large volumes of data from our lab that provide critical feedback loops to our modeling efforts. You either hate or love lakehouses, have a preferred ETL orchestrator, and are intrigued by the problem of capturing data off of lab instruments.
- ML Platform: boy do we have some GPUs for you. Modeling teams need productive compute infrastructure, job scheduling, and numerous other affordances so that they can "just focus" on the model. You shudder at the words "falling off the bus", you have an opinion on how checkpoints should be recorded, and you've built tools that improve the modeling lifecycle.

Primarily hiring in the U.S. for more senior level roles.
We’re hiring across Engineering (Full-stack and Infra) and Data Science / ML roles. Hiring at Manager/Director level as well as mid-level/Senior levels. We’re language-agnostic and hire for fundamentals.
Across the team you’ll see: • Python, Go, Rust, Scala • PostgreSQL, Snowflake • Kafka, Redis • Terraform, Kubernetes • ML: XGBoost, PyTorch, Feature stores, real-time scoring pipelines
If you love solving complex distributed systems challenges, building customer-facing ML products, or working on detection systems that must be both high-precision and low-latency, you’ll fit right in.
Roles are here: https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/sentilink?utm_source=hacker_news If you have questions, feel free to reach out directly at liz.woodfield at sentilink dot com.
At SentiLink, we stop identity fraud at scale. Our products protect banks, fintechs, marketplaces, and leading financial institutions from synthetic identity fraud, identity theft, and emerging threat. We analyze millions of applications while keeping real users moving fast.
We’ve seen tremendous traction and are growing extremely quickly. Our real-time APIs have helped verify hundreds of millions of identities, starting with financial services and rapidly expanding into new markets. SentiLink is backed by world-class investors including Craft Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, NYCA, and Max Levchin.
SentiLink supports a variety of ways to work, ranging from fully remote to in-office. We operate as a digital-first company with strong collaboration across the U.S. and India. We maintain physical offices in Austin, San Francisco, New York City, Seattle, Los Angeles, and Chicago in the U.S., and in Gurugram (Delhi) and Bengaluru in India. If you’re located near one of these offices, we would love for you to spend time in the office regularly. Some roles are hybrid or in-office by design. For example, our engineering team in India works primarily from our Gurugram office.
We’re a small, high-impact team solving one of the most interesting and adversarial problems in fintech: how do you build systems that reliably determine whether a real human is on the other side of a financial transaction?
Hiya's Voice Intelligence Platform protects 500M+ users from spam, fraud, and deepfake scam calls, and gives businesses branded, verified caller ID so the calls that matter get answered.
We're hiring a senior backend engineer for a small foundational team building our next-generation voice products from scratch: real-time SIP/RTP media handling, STT/TTS pipelines with tight latency budgets, deepfake detection and speaker verification, and conversational AI, all integrated directly into carrier networks. It's greenfield, so you'll be making the early architecture decisions, not maintaining legacy services.
Stack: TypeScript/Node.js, Python, Kafka, Docker/Kubernetes on AWS. Telephony experience (SIP, RTP, WebRTC) is a plus, not required. Team is distributed across Seattle and Europe, async-first; 3 days/week in the Seattle office.

Modern hardware supply chains run on spreadsheets, email, PDFs, and prayer. It's like fax woke up in 2026. We're fixing it with an AI-first procurement platform for aerospace, defense, and nuclear manufacturing - customers include Machina Labs, Astranis, K2 Space, Castelion, and Antares.
At SmallSat last month, a supplier walked up to me (in a full spacesuit costume), said "oh you're from Silkline, we love you guys!" and handed us a roadmap item on the spot. That's the job: sit with customers, hear what's broken, ship it. 0-1 product, real UI/UX ownership, ERP integrations that sync POs and manufacturing data.
Stack: TypeScript, React, Next.js, GraphQL, Trigger.dev. You: 5+ years full-stack, startup or 0-1 experience, fast with APIs (bonus: ERPs). The role touches ITAR-controlled data, so US persons only, no visa sponsorship.
We 5x'd our customer base this past year and continue to grow fast. Small team, direct line to the founders (Isaac and myself). Also: space-suited mascot named Silky.

We're a systematic energy trading company trading virtuals and PTPs across the US. We are hiring a mid-level quantitative researcher; the ideal candidate is process oriented and has a team-first approach. You would work closely together with the founders to build out our expansion in the US with focus on PJM. Our team is ex-D.E. Shaw, Optiver, and Stanford. We're bootstrapped, profitable, and growing. Compensation is all-cash and paid from company profits, not venture funding.
What we're looking for:
- 3+ years of experience trading virtuals/PTPs/FTRs on US ISOs (experience with PJM strongly preferred)
- Fluent Python skills (e.g. numpy, matplotlib, pandas, or similar)
- Fluency with statistics (e.g., sampling, biases, t-stats)
- Crisp written communication — we're deep-work focused and async-heavy
Nice to have: experience with LLM-assisted development, experience building quantitative trading algorithms
Hybrid, based in San Francisco or Seattle. Fully remote US-based exceptions can be made if the candidate is a particularly strong/good fit. Candidates are expected to work in person 3 days a week.
Apply: email hiring@amplifyrenewables.com with resume + an (optional) short note on a research project you’ve owned end-to-end; we’re interested in how you generated the idea, tested it, communicated to others, and implemented it. Please mention HN.

Rinse provides dry cleaning and laundry delivery services to customers in twelve metropolitan areas in the US and Canada. We have sophisticated logistics optimization software, a polished consumer product, and firm business fundamentals. We're now over a decade old - this is a stable, yet consistently growing and innovating, company.
Our engineering team is distributed across the United States and internationally, and has been entirely remote for years now, but a desk can be provided in the above cities if you'd prefer.
We're open to both newly-graduated engineers or more senior engineers, provided they meet our bar. We're particularly interested in true full-stack engineers, with strong React / Typescript / CSS skills to complement comfort in a Python / Django environment. We're also seeking engineers with experience leveraging AI to automate complex operational processes.
This season, we're particularly interested in new grads or junior engineers, to round out the team.
You will join a high-caliber team where collaboration, honesty, and open communication are at the core of everything we do.

We'd like to add to our growing IT team, managing networks and endpoints across a dozen sites and hundreds of employees. This team is embedded into the engineering organization and is intimately involved in R&D efforts as well as supporting our corporate functions. We're largely cloud-based, with a meaningful MacOS and Linux fleet and a bit of on-premises hardware. We're leaning into an AI-supported IT function; we expect you to be making forward progress, not simply responding to tickets.
Because this role has some physical hardware responsibilities, we'd prefer it be filled by someone in the above localities, even though the vast majority of the role can be performed remotely.

I'm hiring for a frontline EM building the automation and trust layer for freight pricing, matching, onboarding, and settlement.Lead 1-3 teams (FTE + contractors), own delivery end-to-end, ~8 yrs exp typical. I expect everyone in my eng org (myself included!) to be technical and be able to help unblock the team, though your day-to-day wont be in the code.
Technical here means you can/will get into the code yourself and architecture reviews and maintain technical credibility with our junior to staff/principal level engineers. These are not player-coach roles, but these are frontline roles that need that technical capability.
Interesting problems: trust/fraud at marketplace scale; legacy-data-meets-modern-stack; and all kinds of problems that come with powering hundreds of thousands of load/shipment postings every day.
AI/LLM: We are leaned in, but still hold humans responsible for what they push and expect everyone to review and understand llm output before asking other humans to look at a thing.
Culture: I am deeply familiar with Google's project oxygen/aristotle and am building a culture where our teams can do great work with minimal bs.
Location: Must be local to one of our three locations (Seattle, Portland, Denver).
Primary Tech: Node/TS, React, GraphQL, Kafka/redpanda, k8s, AWS, etc
