Lots of folk assume driving an EV is as green as can be - but where is the energy coming from that's charging your EV? Charging your EV at peak times puts pressure on the grid, which typically means the electricity is coming from burning fossil fuels. This is the problem we're trying to solve - our app enables drivers to align their EV charging with energy from renewable sources. This is better for the environment, cheaper for drivers, and great for an electricity grid under increasing strain.

I am master's student in Computer Science at the University of Minnesota. My main focus has been on machine learning, but I do enjoy working on software engineering projects as well. In particular, projects that work with AI or have an impact on education/productivity.
My most recent internship is at Cisco. As a part of Cisco Research Group, I researched and implemented federated learning algorithms into a platform for AI/ML engineers to run federated learning. I enjoyed reading over new research, creating a deck of slides on the key points, receiving feedback on my design choices, and coding!
I have enjoyed taking machine learning courses, including computer vision and natural language processing. I tested machine learning models on human genetic interaction profiles from the Dependency Map Project. While in Seattle, attending meetups to discuss new technologies (such as LLMs) became one of my hobbies.
I am looking for full time opportunities starting in May 2024.

We make an open-source web framework, an online code editor, a GUI builder, and a PaaS hosting platform. Together, it's a platform for building and hosting full-stack web applications, entirely in Python.
Web development is way too complicated, especially if you're not a professional full-stack dev. So we're fixing it: Instead of writing JS/HTML/CSS/Python/SQL and all the associated frameworks, Anvil enables developers to design pages with drag-and-drop, write Python that runs in the browser and on the server, set up a database, and deploy their code instantly as a hosted service.

1. Senior Developer
We’re looking for an experienced all-rounder who's comfortable with a variety of technologies to work on the core Anvil platform, with a focus on back-end and systems engineering. Our stack is mostly Clojure, Javascript, Python, Postgres, and container tools – but we're looking for someone who isn't afraid to jump into something you haven't used before.
You’ll be working with seriously good all-rounders, including the founders (PhDs in programming usability, kernel contributors, builders of backyard dancing fountains) and senior colleagues (a former maths teacher who went from “teaching Python to students” to “reverse-engineering Anvil’s designer to build better UI components” in months), as well as our other developers and developer advocates. It’s a small, smart, friendly and diverse team, and all of us care deeply about building interesting technology that makes life easier for other developers.
Building dev tools is great! We're solving problems we have ourselves, our customers are developers just like us, and platforms get the best engineering problems.
---
2. Developer Advocate
We’re looking for a developer with great communication skills to show people how to build awesome things with Anvil, and to make Anvil better to use.
You’ll be writing how-to guides, blog posts and tutorials, building example apps, presenting Anvil at conferences, and helping our users – from individual developers to huge companies – build their web applications. You’ll then use what you’ve learned to help us make Anvil better to use. That might mean deciding what examples to build, or it might mean deciding that we need to redesign the first-run experience for the Anvil Editor – and then doing it.
It's rewarding work – developers love being introduced to Anvil (we get mobbed at conferences!). Plus, there are all the advantages of an early-stage startup: seriously smart colleagues, small team, lots of autonomy, and huge impact. (Did I mention we're diverse, friendly and supportive?)
---
For full job descriptions, and to hear what it's like working here, go to https://anvil.works/jobs.

Love languages? Want to leverage AI, LLMs, and ML to topple industry giants like Duolingo & Babbel? What a coincidence, we do to.
I'm the technical founder of Phrasing (https://phrasing.app). and have built the MVP using Postgres, Python, and ClojureScript. As more of my responsibilities start to lean towards the business side of things, I find myself increasingly distracted from the big juicy technical problems. I'm looking for a CTO who wants to dedicate everyday to the most exciting technology problems of the decade.
I can handle the frontend for quite a while longer, but am looking for help on some backend problem areas including: clustering and analyzing vector embeddings, training predictive models, leveraging LLMs to parse minority languages, aligning multilingual text, & so much more.
It's still very early days at the company, but it's never too early to start talking to people excited about the product & mission in the following roles:
- Senior Software Engineer
- Senior ML Engineer
- Senior Mobile Engineer (iOS)
- Senior Designer / Senior Product Designer
At Phrasing, we're driven by the belief that a small, dedicated team can indeed topple industry giants. We are absolutely obsessed with every area of the product, and we seek individuals who share an equal passion for the field, the product, and their craft.
If that sounds like you then send an email to hackers@phrasing.app and join us - to fluency, & beyond.

I'm a recent Google Summer of Code intern and software-building enthusiast. I love picking up new technologies and tinkering with anything I can get my hands on. I've always enjoyed the process of problem-solving, so I'm open to any opportunities!
I'm Avy, CTO and co-founder at [InScope](https://inscopehq.com), where we're creating a financial data platform that gives accounting teams super-powers. My co-founders, Mary and Kelsey, suffered many audits first-hand as finance and accounting leaders at high-growth tech companies like Flexport, Miro, Yelp, and Dropbox.
Join us as our first AI Engineer, our first Designer, or our second Fullstack Engineer (all SF-based). We’ve signed customers, raised a seed round from top investors, and are heads-down building.
Today, finance teams prepare for their audits using Word, Excel, and a whole lot of human effort. We're seeking to change that with software.
All roles will be fast-paced: You will set up systems from scratch, solve a mix of full stack product problems, and build AI-infused data workflows. Our early prototypes are built with Python, JS, React, dbt, and DuckDB, all on AWS. You'll help us choose our production stack.

We are an 8-person hybrid-remote team. Half the team is SF-bay-area, the other half are remote. Remote applicants must be US-based.
We have an Excel/Sheets competitor coming to market, have raised a seed round, are an experienced team with prior success, plenty of hard engineering problems to solve, as well as some fun AI stuff cooking under the hood that we're not ready to announce.
Culturally, we really like working with experienced people who are ex-founders and/or early stage employees (5 of the 8 members of the team are ex-founders). It just seems to work better that way.

Moreover, our healthcare is systemically unequal. People of color, lower income, and LGBTQ+ have demonstrably worse healthcare outcomes, a disparity grimly highlighted by the pandemic we’re living through now where people of color are three-times more likely to die from COVID-19.
How can this be, and how can we change it?
Nuna is tackling one of the most hardest problems in healthcare underlying the negative outcomes and disparities we see: how healthcare gets paid.
Today, hospitals only get paid when they do more-- more visits, more tests, more meds, more surgeries. Hopefully this helps patients get better, but regardless, the system gets paid. In fact, doing more is the only way to stay afloat.
But -- is this really the right set of incentives? Shouldn’t everyone get rewarded not just by doing more, but by when patients actually get better? Shouldn’t everyone have access to affordable, high quality care, and shouldn’t hospitals be rewarded when they deliver this care? And shouldn’t insurance companies get rewarded when they help ALL their patients get better?
Absolutely, yes. This concept is called Value-Based Care. In fact, healthcare as a whole has been trying to move in this direction for years, but making it all reality is deeply complex -- it is after all our healthcare. Nuna’s technology platform, our software apps, our vision, and our exceptionally talented team are collectively accelerating the healthcare system’s ability to make value-based care available to everyone.
In 2022, Nuna will power over $70Bn of healthcare payments for over 6.5mn patients. We also leverage our data science and platform to direct patients to the best, culturally-matched, and accessible care providers for them. Additionally, we make it transparent and easy for both hospitals and insurers to see how they are performing in value-based care by spotlighting the patients or areas where they need to pay extra attention so that they can provide good care to all their patients and get rewarded.
Nuna is unique - we have brought together an exceptional team of over 200 people. We are the industry’s best in healthcare data, analytics, engineering, clinicians, and value based healthcare experts. We have joined forces to create a more equitable health system for everyone.
Our dreams and ambitions to change healthcare as we know it are big. If yours are too, we want to work with you.
