BOSS-IQ is an AI strategic-planning product for owner-operators of small and medium businesses. The boss describes an idea that has been stuck for years; a research-and-question session returns an implementation-ready plan. In production since June, hand-onboarding our first paying customers since August, invitation-only.
I am looking for a partner rather than a first hire, and I need two things in one person. An experienced developer who has genuinely run software in production — deployments, incidents, on-call. And a black-belt prompter. I mean that as a level, not a flourish. The tell: if you watch other developers work in AI environments and feel real frustration — everyone prompts, most prompt badly — and you have quietly built your own standing rule files, your own context discipline, your own reusable prompt library, then you already know what I am describing. That is the rarer of the two skills, and the one I weight hardest.
Under the product, 60+ specialist agents run continuous extraction over each customer's documents and sessions into a persistent, per-company memory: every fact dated and traced to its source sentence, contradictions kept rather than overwritten — a discipline we call Total Capture. Patent-pending since July, in context engineering.
Stack: TypeScript throughout. A NestJS API plus a separate NestJS worker on Railway, Next.js 16 / React 19 on Vercel, Postgres with Prisma, Redis and BullMQ, Pinecone, S3-compatible storage. Agents are LangChain.js / LangGraph ReAct agents on Anthropic Claude across three model tiers, with OpenAI embeddings. Every prompt body and model config lives in one versioned master file synced to LangSmith, never hardcoded in TypeScript.
I am the founder, and not an engineer — thirty years a strategy consultant, first terminal at the end of 2022. A contract developer built the first ~20,000 lines between December and February. Since February I have been the only developer, and it is now about 264,000 lines of TypeScript. I wrote the prompts first, 18,500 lines across 79 agent files, and the code came after to serve them.
That was the environment, not me: 45 interconnected instruction files deploying sub-agents, around 300,000 words of standing rules, orchestrated by one always-on kernel that classifies each session, auto-attaches the rules matching the files being touched, and generates sub-agentic plans for the work.
Compensation is the honest startup shape: generous equity, austerity salary. No number here — it is set against what you currently earn, and that is a conversation rather than a billboard.

Apply: https://boss-iq.com/apply-cto.html — one question at a time, ending by asking you to write the prompts you would use on day one, not code. I read every one myself.

Confido Legal builds payments infrastructure for the legal industry. We're hiring a senior engineer to design, build, and maintain our software — leading architecture and product design, and translating business requirements into technical specs.
This is a broad, high-ownership role on a small team: you'll ship and maintain features end-to-end, lead architecture discussions, write clean and testable code, build automated E2E tests, do code reviews, and participate directly in company strategic planning. You'll also work closely with marketing and sales to keep technical work aligned with the business.
Stack: TypeScript everywhere, React + Next.js (mid-migration to Next.js), AWS with Pulumi IaC, Docker/ECS, GraphQL API, Figma (engineers participate in UI/UX).
We're looking for an expert in three or more of these (TypeScript required) with 3+ years of engineering experience.
~2 onsite meetings/year. Open PTO, fully paid medical/vision/dental. Apply: https://careers.confidolegal.com/careers/sr-engineer
We are a people-first, boutique tech agency creating on-demand teams and software solutions for long-standing clients. These clients trust us to practice engineering excellence as though we were members of their own staff. Our leadership team is ex-Fortune 100 with software engineering backgrounds: we’re still coding. Notable recent projects include a gigantic ERP migration for Anduril, and working with Surge Labs to help develop some of the frontier LLM models from the big guys themselves (yes, seriously). This is a remote-first agency, but some projects involve onsite work.
I’m the founder and CEO, and I’m trying to do what I call “enlightened business”. I take responsibility for both staff and clients, and I look for people who approach their work with a similar sense of ownership.
For September 2026: our current work would especially benefit from from ai-forward senior engineering expertise that can design RL benchmarks, red-team model outputs, and create rubrics to evaluate and enhance the agentic coding capabilities of various frontier models. We received 216 applications in our August posting, and issued offers to approximately 10 (still following up with a few).
Applicants must meet a high bar - I intend to have a personal relationship with every hire. In return you’ll get:
* Flexibility and a low-bureaucracy environment * Clients that won’t treat the vendor like “the B Team” * The chance to act as a code architect, not just implement tickets * Exposure to a wide variety of industries and modern challenges * Me as your personal champion and advocate Feel free to submit, even if you already did in the past.Current roles available:
Back-end, Front-end, and Full-Stack Software Engineers, Tiers 3 and 4 (Typescript/Javascript, React, NextJS; Ruby on Rails; Python; DevOps, and third-party API integrations)
Tier 3 roles are typically 5-10 years experience with $140-$180K total comp. Tier 4 roles are 11-20 years experience, $210-$264K total comp. Higher tiers exist, and we always welcome exceptional applications.

Building AI agents that automate the work of outpatient healthcare practices.
I'm the former co-founder/CEO of DrChrono (YC W11).
Looking for an exceptional hands-on technical cofounder who wants to build a ton of product — not manage an engineering org. You'll code every day, own the architecture, work directly with customers, and help define what we build.
Python/Django, Next.js, Postgres, AWS, LLM/voice/agent infrastructure.
Bay Area strongly preferred. Cofounder-level equity + salary.

Everyone in health AI is chasing scribes and diagnostics. Almost no one is building the longitudinal data layer that captures what actually happens to patients over time. That is the real moat, and we are building it for eye care.
Deya sits between doctor and patient, capturing symptoms, treatments, outcomes and ocular images over time. Clinician-led, piloting with eye doctors, and we hold the largest dataset of eye images captured on smartphones. We build with AI tools daily.
Three roles, all high ownership:
Software Engineer (AI x Healthcare) - Product and infra from 0 to 1. Next.js, backend, cloud, agentic workflows, longitudinal clinical data.
Mobile Engineer (React Native, Swift, Kotlin) - A modern phone is already a clinical instrument and almost none of it has been pointed at eye care. Own the app and its UX end to end.
AI Engineer (Computer Vision + LLMs) - Own the vision pipeline turning phone photos into clinical signal, plus the LLM systems reasoning over patient history.
We have a proprietary clinical dataset and because we control capture, you can improve the data itself rather than model around its limits. Optometrists and ophthalmologists in-house to define ground truth and validate the work. Competitive salary plus equity.
All three roles and apply: https://deya.health/careers/
Jawa is the marketplace for gamers - think gaming PCs, GPUs, consoles, and the like. We're a small, VC-funded team with a big business, and have been operating since 2021.
We're are looking for full-stack software engineers to build and maintain our peer-to-peer marketplace. The tech stack is mostly Typescript, with Next.js, Node.js, Postgres, and other fairly standard web-tools / infra.

Modern hardware supply chains run on spreadsheets, email, PDFs, and prayer. It's like fax woke up in 2026. We're fixing it with an AI-first procurement platform for aerospace, defense, and nuclear manufacturing - customers include Machina Labs, Astranis, K2 Space, Castelion, and Antares.
At SmallSat last month, a supplier walked up to me (in a full spacesuit costume), said "oh you're from Silkline, we love you guys!" and handed us a roadmap item on the spot. That's the job: sit with customers, hear what's broken, ship it. 0-1 product, real UI/UX ownership, ERP integrations that sync POs and manufacturing data.
Stack: TypeScript, React, Next.js, GraphQL, Trigger.dev. You: 5+ years full-stack, startup or 0-1 experience, fast with APIs (bonus: ERPs). The role touches ITAR-controlled data, so US persons only, no visa sponsorship.
We 5x'd our customer base this past year and continue to grow fast. Small team, direct line to the founders (Isaac and myself). Also: space-suited mascot named Silky.

We’re building the Voice AI infrastructure layer for financial services. Banks and fintechs use Monumint agent to automate loan origination, account opening, servicing and customer engagement.
You’ll work on:
1. Driving down voice latency to human-conversation levels while scaling to thousands of concurrent calls
2. Deploying agents that run durable workflows across days or weeks, maintaining state across calls, tools, documents, and human handoffs
3. Making AI agents reliable and observable in a financial workflows: tool calling, evals, guardrails, and deterministic fallbacks
We’re early, you’ll have a huge impact. Email me (my name at the URL) or apply here: https://www.workatastartup.com/companies/monumint
At Shepherd, we're pursuing the most ambitious technical vision in commercial insurance: fully autonomous underwriting. Shepherd is an AI-native commercial insurance platform transforming how high-hazard industries get covered.
The infrastructure behind the AI boom (data centers, semiconductor fabs, renewable energy assets) has to be built and insured, but traditional carriers weren't built for this speed. We built Shepherd to solve that.
We announced our $42M Series B earlier this year! That brings our total funding to over $60M — led by Intact Private Capital, the investment arm of one of the largest insurers in the world. Intact is not only our lead investor but also a carrier partner, a testament to the confidence the incumbent industry has in what we're building.
We’re looking for product-minded, high ownership engineers to join our team! The Engineering team is HQ’d in SF, but we’re growing in NYC now too!
We’re hiring for 4 Senior SWEs, 1 MLE and 1 AI PM in SF, and 2 Staff SWEs in NYC. Engineers own projects end-to-end so full stack ability is expected.
Check out our open roles here: https://shepherdinsurance.com/careers
Our stack includes: Typescript, React, Next.js, GraphQL w/ Apollo, Node.js, Postgres & Redis
