Disney (Video Player Engineering) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help us deliver excellent streaming experiences for Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN+ as a developer of our client player. Our team is responsible for playback across several devices including gaming consoles, mobile devices and set top boxes. You will have the opportunity to lead in the design and implementation of our cross-platform C/C++ and Rust player that runs Disney+ and Hulu on these devices.
We’re looking for an experienced C/C++ or Rust engineer who has video player and cross platform development experience. You should have a passion for coding and debugging hard problems, and an eagerness to help us deliver seamless video to our subscribers. Being a Senior member, you will get to own large features, lead the technical direction of our work, and mentor and provide technical expertise to other engineers. You will work closely with other technical teams in the application layer and backend video services to deliver features.

SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is looking for a Lead Engineer for the Vera C. Rubin Observatory’s US Data Facility (USDF).
Rubin Observatory is an ambitious scientific project to study the nature of Dark Energy and Dark Matter, distant galaxies and quasars, our Milky Way Galaxy and Solar System, and a wide range of time-variable objects throughout the Universe. In 2025 Rubin is launching the 10-year Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST) using the world's largest digital camera mounted on a dedicated telescope at an excellent astronomical observing site in the Chilean Andes to build an unprecedented digital imaging database for research in astrophysics and cosmology.
As the Lead Engineer for Rubin's USDF, you will own the interface between science operations and data infrastructure. We are looking for a generalist who is excited to work with both scientists and engineers to enable transformative new discoveries in data-intensive astrophysics.
Key technologies include Python, Postgres/SQL, Kubernetes, S3, Kafka, batch computing (e.g. Slurm, HTCondor, PBS, or similar), distributed filesystems (e.g. Weka, CephFS, GPFS/Storage Scale, Lustre, or similar).

We're a small team working on projects targeting web browsers and native platforms, looking for an experienced versatile programmer with strong knowledge of low-level systems programming and experience with building networking programs, with focus on simplicity and performance. Great if you're familiar with low-latency real-time streaming, virtualization and reverse engineering. We use C, WebAssembly and Node.JS.
