The mission We’re building a best-in-class multi-modal AI agent product (voice + SMS + email) with the potential to disrupt deeply entrenched software businesses and unify a fragmented industry. We’re a tiny team with real traction pre-product, moving fast, and we care obsessively about craft.
Why this role This is a founding engineering seat: you’ll be an early builder shaping the product, architecture, and quality bar from day one. In the first 3–6 months, the role is highly IC-focused. As we scale (including our first in-person hub/site and new hires), this role has optionality (i.e., growing into a leadership role or staying on the IC track and owning the engineering roadmap) for the right person.
What you’ll do
Build real-time systems for voice (streaming audio, low latency, turn-taking), SMS, and email automation with robust state + memory. Design the foundation: architecture, data model, reliability, observability, deployment, and developer velocity. Set the quality bar: clean code, pragmatic abstractions, testing strategy, “don’t break prod,” and thoughtful product UX. Partner closely with the co-founders on product decisions. You’ll have real influence over what we build and how it feels + how it's designed.
What we’re looking for You should be able to work anywhere in the stack (frontend, backend, infra, integrations) and you know how to make smart tradeoffs.
Strong product sense: you’re obsessive about confusing UI and you want to make workflows feel magical. Systems thinking: you can design for latency, reliability, and iteration speed (especially for real-time voice + agent state). High ownership: you run toward ambiguity, unblock yourself, and care deeply about outcomes. Startup mindset: high-risk/high-reward energy, low ego, high pace.
Bonus points:
Experience with agentic systems: LLM orchestration, tool calling, RAG, evals, prompt/versioning, guardrails. Voice/telephony or streaming experience (WebSockets/WebRTC, audio pipelines, turn detection). Messaging + deliverability experience (SMS workflows, email sending, compliance/opt-in, bounce handling). Familiarity with modern stacks (examples): TypeScript/Node, Python, React/Next.js, Postgres, Redis, queues, Docker, AWS/GCP, observability.

SalesJack is a sales software platform (CRM, Prospecting Service) for independent businesses in the construction supply industry. We are growing quickly and profitably. Our engineering team is growing in Canada.
As a Solutions Engineer at SalesJack, you'll own the technical side of bringing new customers live and keeping them successful. Every implementation involves ERP integration, product category mapping, permit source configuration, data migration, and on-site training — and you'll be the person who makes all of that happen. Post-launch, you'll handle customizations: new reports, routing rules, data transformations, and one-off integrations. You'll work closely with founders, engineers, and the dealers using our product every day. We highly value a startup mentality—taking initiative, moving quickly, and iterating solutions based on real customer feedback.
We are looking for:
- 2+ years in a Solutions Engineering, Implementation Engineering, Data Engineering, or similarly hands-on technical customer-facing role
- Strong SQL — comfortable writing non-trivial queries against Snowflake, Postgres, or similar warehouses
- Comfort with REST APIs, auth flows, pagination, rate limits, and debugging flaky endpoints
- Familiarity with (or strong interest in) construction supply ERPs such as BisTrack, DMSi Agility, or ECI Spruce
- Some travel may be required to customer sites in the US
Our hiring process will be:
1. Initial call with our founding team to briefly discuss your background and introduce SalesJack ~30mins
2. Technical Exercise: SQL, integration design, and a customer scenario walkthrough ~1.5 hours
3. Cultural fit call with one of our founders ~30mins
4. Offer

Forage is a payments company building the infrastructure for SNAP EBT online. About 1 in 8 Americans (over 40 million people) use SNAP to buy groceries, and we process the EBT payments that let them shop on Uber Eats, DoorDash, and at major grocery chains. We're now building our first consumer product: a mobile app that surfaces cash rewards at partner merchants so EBT shoppers can stretch their benefits further and put more food on the table.
We're hiring a Senior Mobile Engineer to own the frontend of this app. You'll oversee significant parts of the codebase, work closely with a small product and design team, and ship features that put real dollars back in low-income families' pockets.
A good fit:
- You have 3+ years of mobile engineering experience building end to end user solutions
- You have deep React Native experience, ideally having built an app from scratch or meaningfully contributed to a production app
- A track record of leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and driving complex projects from design through execution
YC-backed (W21), well funded, competitive comp and equity.

Revieve builds AI-powered personalization for 120+ beauty brands across 40+ countries — think skin analysis, AR try-on, and recommendation engines used by some of the world's largest retailers. We're profitable, ~30 people, a dozen engineers, millions of end users.
We've reorganized around the idea that one builder with the right tools can do what teams used to. This role exists because we believe that's true.
What a week looks like: Mon — a real customer problem lands in front of you, full context, you decide what to build Tue — prototype in Claude Code, something running by EOD Wed — staging up, Loom to founders, iterate on notes Thu — in production, watching real data come in Fri — ship the next iteration or find the next problem
~1–2 hours of meetings per week. No standups. No sprints. No PM in the loop.
We're looking for: → Public proof of building — repos, side projects, real users. We click around it. → AI in production — not demos. Opinions on agents, evals, latency, what fails. → Agentic coding fluency — Claude Code, Codex, MCP, custom harnesses → TypeScript / React generalist — comfortable at any layer → Design taste — you know what's wrong with a screen without a designer telling you → Clear written thinking — READMEs, PRs, post-mortems
IMPORTANT: include a link to something you've built in your application.
Process: recruiter call → paid build session (real problem, you set the pace) → short presentation → done.
Perks: 5 weeks vacation from day one, remote-friendly, options plan, equipment budget, parental leave, competitive salary.

If anyone here is working on health AI and running into HIPAA compliance walls (PHI handling, audit requirements, BAAs with vendors), happy to share what I've learned from consulting with 12+ startups in this space.
The compliance tax on healthcare AI is brutal, but there are patterns and tools that make it manageable.
Feel free to reach out if you're in this domain - always interesting to compare notes on real-world compliance implementations.
I'm Julien — I lead Product Engineering at Oaktree. My background is tech, not finance: startups, Meta, data infrastructure companies.
I'm hands-on and building a flat, small team that operates like an engineering org, not a bank IT department. If you come from a tech background, this post is for you.
We're building the next-generation platform for Oaktree's credit business (private credit included) — one of the largest and most complex investment strategies at a firm managing $220B+ in assets.
This is a newly formed Product Engineering group, and we're modernizing everything: practices, architecture, tooling, culture.
In the past month alone we've stood up a new CI/CD system, evolved the architecture, and gone from release cycles measured in months to hours. We're shipping rapidly and the pace is accelerating.
The work: data-intensive applications across the full stack of a credit investment platform — ingestion, transformation, analytics, and the tools that put insights into the hands of investment professionals. No traditional PMs — you work directly with business stakeholders, own priorities, and ship.
This is a hands-on, code-every-day role.
What we're looking for: - 10+ years building and owning data-intensive systems in production
-Strong CS fundamentals (data structures, distributed systems, concurrency, performance)
- Deep expertise in data modeling, pipeline architecture, and systems that process/transform/serve large volumes of data
- Python + at least one statically typed/compiled language (C#/.NET, C++, Java, Scala, Go)
- Cloud-native experience (our environment is Azure, but what matters is you've operated at scale)
- Comfortable with ambiguity, direct stakeholder engagement, and owning outcomes end-to-end
- Genuine interest in applying generative AI practically across engineering and product workflows
A note on title: the internal title is Vice President, which is standard in finance.
In substance this is a Senior/Staff Engineer IC role.
Locations: 1 role in Los Angeles (hybrid Tue-Thu, DTLA office) a 2 roles in Hyderabad, India.
Interview process: 0. recruiter screen
1. Behavioral + coding (30 min each, can be split or combined) 2. Onsite: system design take-home + panel, stakeholder meeting, hiring manager
please email me jubrown@oaktreecapital.com

Our work involves high-performance Python for petabyte-scale Earth Observation and satellite datasets, clean web UIs for complex data, and modern DevOps pipelines to automate scientific workflows.
Small team, fast-moving. Trust and autonomy from day one. No bureaucracy, just hard problems and impact.
We're hiring mid and senior Python Developers with 3+ years of experience.
Send your CV and a couple of paragraphs on why you're interested to careers@oxidian.com with the role in the subject line.
Fully automated self-service key duplicating kiosks can be found in over 7,000+ locations across the country in major retailers such as WalMart, Kroger, 7-Eleven, Menards, and many others.
We're hiring an IT Support / Sysadmin to help manage and automate the laptops our employees use day to day, and also expand into helping my team automate the 7000+ kiosks we manage in the field. Linux, Windows, MacOS, SaltStack, Docker, AWS, with Terraform and Kubernetes.
Reach out to tim.mahoney@key.me and mention "IT Support Sysadmin" in the subject.
We're a small, research-driven, VC-backed team building NeoHuman: a desktop-first system that observes how people actually use AI tools, files, and workflows during real tasks, and turns those sessions into reliable evaluation evidence. We care about the process, not just the final answer — what someone typed, what they copied, what they verified, how they moved across apps.
We've published the AgentIF-OneDay benchmark. Now we're scaling the capture and evaluation infrastructure underneath it.
Apply: email jack@emergences.ai with your resume and a brief note about a system you've built — desktop software, AI infra, data pipelines, evaluation, or low-level debugging. Subject: "Your Name — AI / Systems Engineer". Please mention HN in the email.
Doubling is building a new mobile product in the health and wellness space. Small founding team, mission-driven, 0-to-1 stage.
We're looking for a Design Engineer to own the mobile UX end-to-end: product design, motion / interaction design, and code contributions where it helps the team move faster. The core of the role is product and motion design; code contributions are valued but not the primary skill we're hiring for.
Stack / tools: Figma, React Native, plus at least one motion or prototyping tool (Rive, Lottie, After Effects, Principle, or Framer).
What we want: 2+ years combined in product design and motion / interaction design, at least one shipped mobile product, a portfolio that demonstrates both UI and motion work, and enough comfort in a frontend codebase to land small UI tweaks and animations (or genuine interest in growing into that).
Bonus: prior consumer health, wellness, fitness, or nutrition product experience; design system ownership; founding / first designer at a startup.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. as an independent contractor. No visa sponsorship for this role.
Details: https://www.doubling.io/careers/design-engineer Apply: careers@doubling.io
We're a performance marketing agency (Inc. 5000 #123, ex-Google founders) hiring our first dedicated AI engineer as a contractor.
What you'd build: landing page conversion analyzers, creative analyzers for video ads, vertical media buying co-pilots for Meta/Google/TikTok APIs. Real LLM tools that go into client production the same week they ship.
Stack: open. We don't care which LLM provider sits underneath. The value is in vertical specialization on top.
Required: top 1% with Lovable, Replit, or Cursor. Public GitHub or portfolio with shipped projects we can play with. Ability to ship a complex tool (multiple data sources, APIs, server hosting, LLM integration) in under a day.
Comp: hourly contract, bi-weekly net-14, monthly renewal. Path to Head of AI for the right person.
Process: 30-min intro, 45-min founder conversation, 60-min live build in Lovable or Replit (we watch you ship). Offer within 2 weeks.
Apply: https://tigertracks.isolvedhire.com/jobs/1768363-447725.html with your portfolio link and one project you're proud of.
Parabola is a no-code data workflow automation tool that helps operations teams move, transform, and automate their data without writing code. LLMs are a core part of our product — we use them to help users build and reason about their workflows — and they're increasingly part of how we run infrastructure too. We're a small, product-focused team and our infrastructure runs on AWS. We're looking for an SRE who's passionate about observability and keeping systems healthy and understandable. You'll own our monitoring and alerting infrastructure, drive incident response, and work closely with engineering to make sure we have deep visibility into everything that matters. We expect you to use LLMs heavily in your work — writing runbooks, generating alert configs, drafting postmortems, building dashboards — and we want someone who's already figured out how to make that feel natural. What you'll work on:
Observability stack — Prometheus, Grafana, dashboards, alerting, and on-call workflows Incident response and postmortems — building a culture of learning from failures SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets — helping the team make data-driven reliability decisions Monitoring LLM-specific infrastructure: latency, token throughput, model error rates, cost attribution AWS infrastructure across our stack (Lambda, ECS, RDS, OpenSearch, CloudFront, etc.) CDK-based IaC and CI/CD pipelines as needed
What we're looking for:
Hands-on experience with Prometheus and Grafana (or similar — Datadog, Honeycomb, etc.) Strong instincts for what to instrument and what good alerting actually looks like Comfort debugging distributed systems across the full stack Experience owning on-call and incident response end to end AWS familiarity and enough IaC experience to get things done (CDK or Terraform) Someone who reaches for an LLM before writing boilerplate from scratch — and knows when not to
Nice to have: experience instrumenting LLM pipelines, familiarity with TypeScript/Node.js, startup experience, or a background in security and compliance.

I'm Wilson, co-founder of Post Up. We're building the Databricks for content production. Brandfetch is the internet’s canonical source for logos and brand assets. Think GitHub for brand identity: a brand repo that auto-indexes public assets, lets brand owners “commit” changes once, then propagates them—instantly and immutably—through CDNs, plugins, and APIs used by companies like Google, Canva, Salesforce, and soon … everywhere.
Problems you'd work on:
- Nightly curation bot auto-fixing outdated assets across 52M+ repos
- Next-gen ingestion and partition-key schema to leap from millions to billions of assets
- MCP server that exposes structured brand data to any AI agent or LLM, letting them fetch brand context on demand
- Vector search: surface any logo with ≥90% similarity in <50ms
- Real-time metering that pings Stripe the instant a user tops their quota
Stack: Node.js, TypeScript, Python, AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudFront, S3, CloudFormation), Serverless.
You:
- 8+ years of experience in backend software development.
- Proficiency with AWS tools (Cloudformation, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Lambda, Cloudfront, S3, IAM, OpenSearch).
- Experience with building REST APIs.
- Ability to write well-documented, clean code.
- Experience with building DevOps pipelines using Serverless.
- Great communication skills (we work across multiple timezones and document everything).
- Experience with Machine Learning.
- Timezone: UTC+0 to UTC+9
Competitive salary + equity in a profitable, growing company.
apply: career at brandfetch.io (no recruiter please).
We run a worker wellbeing and compliance platform used by global buyers and their supply chain sites across Asia. We're in the middle of a meaningful migration and platform buildout — you'd be joining at a point where architectural decisions matter and your fingerprints will be on the system for years.
*The work:* Our stack is Django + Python on the backend, dbt for data transformation, React/Next.js on web, and Expo/React Native for mobile. We run on AWS and Azure. Right now we're migrating legacy services while simultaneously shipping new features — so you'll need to be comfortable holding both in your head.
*What we're looking for:*
- Strong Python/Django chops — you've built and maintained production APIs, not just tutorials - Comfortable with React/Next.js; bonus if you've touched Expo or React Native - You understand what a data pipeline actually does (dbt experience a plus, but SQL fluency matters more) - Cloud experience on AWS or Azure — not ops, but enough to not be blocked - You care about code quality without being precious about it
*What this isn't:* This isn't a greenfield startup with infinite runway. It's a real product with real users, real technical debt, and a migration in progress. If that sounds like a problem, this role isn't for you. If that sounds like the most interesting kind of work, let's talk.
*Details:* - Fully remote, India-based - Senior Software Engineer title

We power real-time Chat, Video, Activity Feeds, and AI Moderation for apps like Strava, Bumble, eBay, and Patreon - billions of API requests per month, millions of concurrent users.
We're looking for a hands-on Lead Engineer (Staff / Principal level) to own Platform & Infrastructure.
Reports directly to the CTO.
Small, senior team - you'll write code most of the time, not run a process org. First 6 months focus on three things with measurable outcomes:
* Cloud cost optimization (AWS/GCP) — tooling and guardrails, not reports
* Platform reliability and scalability — SLOs, observability, hardening
* Architecture decisions on Kubernetes, databases, and cloud provider strategy
Stack: Go, Python, AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, CockroachDB, Redis, Terraform.
Looking for: software engineering background (Go or Python, not scripting-only), production cloud cost optimization experience, real distributed systems depth, and active AI tooling use in your engineering workflow.
Not a fit if: you're security/compliance-heavy, scripting-only, or dependent on large-org support structures.

Hi, Alex and Jeremy here from UMH.
8 years ago, Jeremy was absolutely frustrated with the status quo of data infrastructure in manufacturing. Companies paid millions per year for "shitty 90s software" and are still doing that today, when there is much better software out there for open-source. So we decided that we can do this better, first founded a System Integrator, realized most of the tasks in setting up and maintaining a data infrastructure can be standardized, and decided to found the currently VC-backed UMH, which is built on open source software and is open source itself.
What we're actually building: We build and scale a real-time data platform that runs hundreds of Benthos pipelines inside a single Docker container (UMH Core), processing millions of industrial messages that control actual production processes.
Plus a local-first user interface (Management Console) where both non-technical factory workers and power-users/developers can work together. And yes, we care about UI in enterprise/industrial software.

Recover is building the infrastructure for all restoration work, streamlining how remediation contractors run jobs while we handle the red tape and headaches. Recover is a platform born from insurance requirements, financial ledgers, spatial intelligence; built to collapse hundreds of messy painpoints into a single flow.
We've just closed our seed round, live desktop and IOS app and are ramping up to convert demo offices to live deployments and rolling out to 50+ waitlisted offices. We're sprinting fast to cover the last features in V1 roadmap including subcontractor portal and insurance disputes workflows and one-click materials marketplace.
We're hiring for a specific type of engineer:
PM-minded engineer for messy domains. The rare hybrid who can sit across from an insurance adjuster, a franchisee, and a senior estimator in the same day, walk away with the actual workflow in their head, and collapse a scattered process into a single screen the technician actually wants to open. Owns the full loop: stakeholder interview → spec doc → spreadsheet model → prototype → production. Equal parts taste, insight, and stamina. Ships features that flow smoothly and improve how work gets done.

We're a seed stage (VC backend) company building a vertically integrated design and manufacturing platform for precision mechanical parts. We are developing our own CAD/CAM software running on top of our own manufacturing facility. The team has previously developed CAD kernels, design software, and autonomous robotic manipulators, and comes from Amazon Robotics, Siemens, nTop, and Vicarious Surgical.
Most design and manufacturing software companies treat the factory as a black box and optimize geometry in isolation. Our bet is that the only way to really bring software and ML into design and manufacturing is to own the full process ourselves. The platform you'd help build includes: customer-facing design software, the ML engine that turns CAD files into machine instructions (G-code), the simulation layer, and the shop floor operations themselves.
We are looking for someone independently driven who wants to operate like a founder. You'd own architecture, help shape the company's vision, and build a product from the ground up. If you've worked on cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, CAD/CAM software dev, geometry kernels, robotic perception, motion control, or spent time on a shop floor, we'd like to talk. We are open to sponsoring visas for the right candidate.
Roles:
Founding Computational Geometry Engineer: Hybrid B-rep + SDF kernel work. STEP AP242 ingestion, B-rep surgery, feature recognition, and the geometry layer underneath our DFM and CAM pipelines. If you've worked on Parasolid, OCCT, nTop, or shipped anything that touches BRep diff, parametric replay, or differentiable geometry, we want to talk. C++ and Python.
Founding Full-Stack Engineer: Someone who can take ownership of the reliability, automation, and evolution of our core systems that tie into our CAD/CAM software, internal shop-floor systems. You’ll work across the stack, with a strong emphasis on backend, infrastructure, and system-level engineering, to strengthen the foundations that everything else runs on. This role is for someone who enjoys digging into complex systems, building the architecture and tooling to keep them running reliably (including the frontend).

Acrylic Robotics is a creative tech company focused on changing how people design and create art. We build software that learns a person's taste in art, ML design tools that turn it into a concept, and robots that create the concept with paint on canvas, so original artwork can be commissioned at a price most people can actually afford.
We're hiring an ML lead to own the model side. The system has to take a user's intent and references, turn them into concepts the user can refine through feedback, and produce the brushwork-level instructions our robots paint. This would be the first dedicated ML hire on the team; they'll help set the technical direction, ship the first real end-to-end version, and build out the team behind them.
We're based in Montreal, QC, but open to a hybrid position for the right person. Please email me at walker@acrylicrobotics.ca or look at https://acrylicrobotics.ca for more info.
Thanks! - Walker, Head of Engineering
